1:1 Online Fitness Coaching
with Ying

Simple beats fancy. Every single time.

I'm Ying. I started lifting at 17 because being strong and muscular looked like the coolest thing in the world, and because the gym was the one place where loneliness stopped bothering me. Two years later: never program hopping, rarely missing a session, consistent with food. Now I coach guys with the most basic plan they'll actually stick to, because that's the part everyone gets wrong.

Ying at the very start of training, before gaining muscle

Chapter one — where it started

My story

The gym was the one place that made sense

I'm Ying, I'm 19, and I've been lifting since I was 17. I didn't start because I wanted to compete — I started because having muscle and being strong just looked genuinely cool to me, like a stat you could actually raise in real life. A few of my friends were in the gym constantly, and that pulled me in too.

Before that, loneliness was a real thing for me. Once I started training, it stopped bothering me. I had somewhere to be, something to get better at, and proof every week that I was becoming someone. I've dealt with a lot of insecurities — I still do — but the gym has quietly handled more of them than anything else ever has.

Outside of lifting I'm a video game and piano guy. Both taught me the same thing training did: you don't get good by switching methods every week, you get good by repeating the boring fundamentals until they're automatic.

I never program hopped. I've rarely missed a workout since day one, and I've stayed consistent with my food the whole way. I wrote every program ran and built every meal plan I've eaten. I made plenty of mistakes early — I bulked way too hard and got much fatter than I wanted — but I fixed them fast instead of starting over.

That's what I coach: the same simple, repeatable approach that took me from where i was before to where i am now.

The journey so far

Two years, three chapters

I don't have a wall of client photos yet — I have my own, and I'll never pretend otherwise. This is the real route: skinny, too heavy, then lean.

  • Ying at the start of his transformation, skinny and untrained2024

    Chapter I

    The skinny start

No plan, no tracking, just enthusiasm. I showed up every day and still went nowhere.

Lesson: effort without a plan is just noise.

  • Ying after a long bulk, heavier with more muscle and body fat2025

    Chapter II

    The overdone bulk

Ate everything in sight and told myself it was all muscle. Got strong. Got soft too.

Lesson: you can't out-train a number you never counted.

  • Ying now, lean and defined after cutting body fat2026

    Chapter III

    Journey to sub 10% BF

Calories dialed in, training simple and hard, life still intact. This is the boring way — it works.

Lesson: consistency beats intensity, every single time.

My approach

Simple, basic, and it works

Commitment is the only real variable. So I build plans that are almost boring to look at — because those are the ones people actually finish.

Simple

Basic by design

Getting fit isn't complicated. My coaching is simple and basic on purpose — and it gets you 99% of the results.

Honest

Why 99% and not 100%

Because I can't promise you'll be fully committed to the protocol. That last 1% is you. Everything else is on me.

Sticky

Fancy plans change nothing

Plenty of coaches hand you elaborate programs and gourmet meal plans. None of it matters if you can't stick to it for months.

Repeatable

Easy to keep is the goal

The more basic the plan, the easier it is to repeat. That's exactly why I don't build fancy splits or complicated diets for anyone.

What you get

Coaching, not a PDF

Four things, done properly, every week you're with me.

Training

A program built for your build

Built around your schedule, gym and experience — and kept simple enough that you'll actually run it every week.

Nutrition

Food you can repeat forever

Straightforward protein and calorie targets with meals you already like. No gourmet plans you'll abandon in week two.

Check-ins

Weekly reviews + a monthly call

You send a short form every Sunday and I reshape the next week before it starts. Once a month we jump on a call to look at where you're actually at — progress, sticking points, what changes next.

Support

Direct access to me

Message me when a lift feels wrong or a week goes sideways. You're not filing tickets with a team.

Party check

Am I the right coach for you?

I keep the roster small on purpose, so I'd rather be straight with you up front.

This is for you if

  • You want muscle and you're tired of guessing at it
  • You'll be honest with me on check-ins, even in a bad week
  • You want a plan that survives school, work, and a social life
  • You'd rather be coached by someone who's still climbing with you

This isn't for you if

  • You want a crash diet or a 30-day miracle
  • You want a plan you'll ignore and blame later
  • You want someone to guilt you into the gym
  • You're looking for anything involving shortcuts or substances
